Drs. Warren D. Keller, Ph.D. and Lorraine M. Engl, Ph.D. recently attended the Seventh International Symposium on Child Custody Evaluations sponsored by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts in Atlanta, Georgia. The symposium included seminars on the implementation of model standards for custody evaluations, domestic violence in custody disputes, and parental alienation syndrome along with a variety of other topics. Drs. Engl and Keller provide a range of services for individuals and families going through divorce, including Early Neutral Evaluations, pre-divorce and post divorce counseling, mediation of custodial issues, and working with both collaborative and traditional matrimonial attorneys.

"Families in transition often experience difficulty adjusting to the changes brought about by separation and divorce. Both parents and children require additional emotional guidance to insure existing relationships are not only maintained but remain healthy and stable", says Dr. Engl. Drs. Engl and Keller have made a commitment to help families during the time of vulnerability and uncertainty when the family dynamics are changing. "We want to assist families in moving towards relationships that are protected and enhanced with professionalism, warmth and compassion" says Dr. Engl. Dr. Keller adds, "we will guide families through the process of divorce by empowering them to make healthy decisions regarding their future."

Dr. Keller is trained in pediatric, developmental and neuropsychology. He has worked with children and families for over 25 years in the Western New York area. He is a member of the Psychological Association of Western New York, the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology, Society of Behavioral Pediatrics, and is on the advisory board of support groups for parents of children with a variety of disorders. He had been assisting parents and legal professionals with custodial and access issues throughout his career.

Dr. Engl is a cognitive behavioral, licensed psychologist who worked extensively with with children, adolescents and families in Western New York for over fifteen years. She has served on numerous community Boards including St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation, Hope for Tomorrow and Clinical Supervisor at Baker Victory Services. Dr. Engl is a member of the American Psychological Association, the New York State Psychological Association and the Psychological Association of Western New York

Both doctors' are members of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) an international professional organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through the resolution of family conflict. Dr. Keller recently returned from Kos Island, Greece where he presented his research to the International Council of Psychologists.
